A Midland man told police that his walking on the sidewalk in full Knights of Ku Klux Klan regalia while toting a handgun had nothing to do with Barack Obama winning the presidency.

Later, however, he admitted that Obama's victory was the catalyst for his display.

Midland police questioned Randy G. Gray II, 30, who was walking on the sidewalk along Eastman near North Saginaw Wednesday afternoon while waving an American flag, but released him because he wasn't breaking any laws.

Gray was walking up and down the sidewalk in front of a vehicle dealership while several motorists shouted obscenities at him and others shouted ''accolades,'' police said.

Newsweek:

The day of the third debate, Palin refused to go onstage with New Hampshire GOP Sen. John Sununu and Jeb Bradley, a New Hampshire congressman running for the Senate, because they were pro-choice and because Bradley opposed drilling in Alaska. The McCain campaign ordered her onstage at the next campaign stop, but she refused to acknowledge the two Republican candidates standing behind her.

Hey, they paired The Wiz up again, this time with The Beatles in an Obama video called "Getting Better" . . .

Congrats, Wiz! I hope your got more than just the satisfaction of seeing your work used for a good cause on YouTube.

Thanks wonk. I never wanted anything more that to learn Photoshop and find a healthy way to discharge my outrage--so the election of Obama is the cherry on the sundae--after eight long years of descent/dissent.

Posted the following in History. Thought it might be good here too.
I think the Federal bureaucracy, and perhaps Congress, is in for a shock with the way Obama does business. It will reverberate down to the career civil service, which rarely happens. He's not gone the conventional route thus far and I think that will continue with his style of governing. He expects actions and results, and while he may be frustrated with how much slower the bureacracy is than his campaign staff, I think he'll find ways to cut through the bullshit.
